Apple hints generative AI is coming on iPhone 16

Samsung and Google made AI features a big part of their latest smartphone announcements, and now it is time for Apple to jump the bandwagon. Tim Cook said in the earnings call, following the company's financial report that he will talk about generative AI “later this year”. Apple services hit another all-time high during Q1 period

Apple shared its earnings report for Q1, 2024 - the quarter ending on December 30, 2023, and it showed revenues of $119.6 billion and $33.9 billion in profits. Revenues are up by 2% while profits grew by 13% on a yearly basis. The iPhone remained Apple’s largest revenue contributor at $69.7 billion while Apple’s services which include the likes of Apple Music, TV+, iCloud and the App Store reached a new all-time high of $23.1 billion in revenue. Dimensity 9400 coming in Q4 with one Cortex-X5 and three X4 cores

The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 launched in November of last year and it was an odd design – it packed four Cortex-X4 prime cores, instead of the usual one. And it skipped the little cores altogether, using four Cortex-A720 to bring the core count to eight.
