Canalys: European smartphone market saw positive growth in Q1, Samsung retains top spot

The European smartphone market saw its first quarter with positive growth in Q1 following twelve consecutive quarters of declines in smartphone shipments. According to the latest Canalys report, 33.1 million smartphones were shipped in Europe during the January 1 – March 31 period which represents a 2% year-on-year growth.
