Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon Wear 3100 in September 2018, but the chipset for wearables had the same CPU as its predecessor Wear 2100 with the archaic Cortex-A7 cores. Now, a new report has it that the San Diego-based manufacturer is working on a platform that is named WTP2700 and WTP429W (WTP stands for "wearable testing platform") that appears to be based on the Snapdragon 429 chip for smartphones.
